Planning for the Future

Some people may think I am crazy for starting this blog. This blog for me is going to be a way for me to share with you my thoughts and feelings. An inside look. I am a planner by nature. I like to plan in advance. I like to research and know what makes this better than that, why more and more people are doing these things. It is just the way that I am. So when it comes to planning our family, I started doing the research and planning. Another example of this? My wedding was planned the same way. It helps me see reality, keeps the stress down, and I don't feel the need to worry. In other words I am educating myself. It is really simple and straight to the point.

A little background on me, is that my cycle can be irregular. Not to be so blunt, but it is one of the things that I have going on. When it comes to family planning, we don't really have a particular time that we want to start. We are really waiting on when we feel the timing is right. The amount of stress and what not, has been a huge factor in what is going on with my cycle. That along side of all the different changes that I have experienced. I have learned that when I am going through an overly stressful time that everything goes out of whack. I know that I am not the only one who has this problem. I have found that really watching what I eat, and making sure to stay active has made a huge improvement in the way I feel but I feel normal. One of the things that I have been really looking into is cutting out certain food products in favor of organic. I am still doing the research and educating myself. Some of what I found just completely grossed me out. I don't want to be eating something that is bad for me, and I certainly don't want my kids to either. Here is a small video with some scary food facts that made me rethink some of the food choices: http://youtu.be/Ji8HbzTDLUw
Some people may think that this is ridiculous but you know what? I don't. One of the things my husband and I have talked about is replacing some of our products and even foods with organic products. However, you need to beware! Not all things that say are organic is organic. I think that it is time to really start educating ourselves.

As we are planning our family, we have been doing a little bit of research here and there, and looking to make what we feel is the right choices for our family, despite the popular trends.  This leads me to diapers. Some people don't know what is in diapers and what they do. http://www.livestrong.com/article/111348-chemicals-disposable-diapers/

The article I posted describes the chemicals commonly found in disposable diapers. I am not a fan of putting potentially dangerous chemicals on my baby. I understand that this is a matter of opinion. I am not trying to force everyone to go organic, but I do believe that we have the right to know what is in the products that we are putting on our babies! I think that this information is important and needs to be shared. There are disposable diapers that do not have these chemicals in them. That or cloth diapering is a great option.

On a personal note, I believe that everything happens with in God's timing. I am looking forward to what is coming in the coming year! We have been planning and saving up, and getting something's in order before we actually start trying. I feel like right now, we are where we are suppose to be. Doing what we are suppose to be doing. I really feel good with where I am. Until next time!
